I have known Cindy Cannon since 2008 when she served as District Governor for Georgia Toastmasters, District 14. I observed Cindy in a variety of settings during her tenure as District Governor and noted her professional, friendly and caring attitude toward everyone she met. During 2012, I have been working to identify and obtain a new job opportunity and I contacted Cindy to provide some career advice because my actions had not been successful and I had run out of ideas on how to improve my job search. My first meeting with Cindy is what I would call a reflective meeting. Cindy listened to my concerns and the questions she asked were thought-provoking and purposeful. Her advice was positive and encouraging and I immediately began to implement the action items she assigned. In August, I contacted Cindy for interview pointers to prepare for an upcoming telephone interview. Her advice was timely and her recommendations were helpful without trying to change my personality. She listened to my ideas on questions to ask and my responses. She made suggestions to help me better prepare for the interview. I believe Cindy's friendly advice and her years of experience as a recruiter and career coach gave me the boost of confidence I was missing in my previous interviews. My telephone interview was very positive and I received and accepted the job offer !!! I would recommend Cindy as a career coach to anyone seeking to be better in their current job assignment or prepare for a new career opportunity. Her advice is professional, friendly and motivating.
